A Little Bit of History...
I first learnt to cook when I was 10 years old. My main interest however, was in baking and by the time I was 11, I had won my first competition! I spent my time at school with the sole ambition of becoming a pastry chef - indeed I was going to be the best! However, as time moved on, I became a secretary and have worked in offices ever since - so much for being the best! But my love for cookery never left me; it has stayed with me throughout my life, but took shape in the form of holding dinner parties, making family and friends' birthday cakes, or simply forcing my poor Father into testing my various creations! Tasty food and cakes were always on the menu, but everything I’d learnt was self-taught, it was time for cake decorating lessons and in 2005, my classes began! I approached my local Baker and asked whether or not he’d give my cupcakes a go. Even though he agreed there and then, it took me until the following year (and four test batches) to actually hand some samples over. To my delight, they were a great success and I’ve been supplying cakes there ever since.
Not surprisingly, both children and adults love and buy Bayvil cakes. The bakery currently has customers that regularly come in just for our cupcakes. They’re the kind of cakes that children point to in the window and adults buy for themselves as a treat! We like to think we satisfy all!

Giving Back...
The Bayvil Cake Company regularly bakes for a local children’s hospice, Noah’s Ark. We strongly believe in sharing our good fortune. Nothing beats the smile on the faces of little children tucking into our cakes!
